Lady Fish Julia

Image
So Ashlyn's fish died after two years.  A sad affair.   We wanted to go swimming or get a new one.   Since I forgot that rendezvous Park exists,  we could not think of where to swim stop pet shopping defaulted. Saw an orange beta with white tips that I was almost swayed to get since she was having a disilusionary rebound moment.  But was not feeling like watching over another annoying beta.  There was a cool half moon crown tail beta male at Walmart but he was $6.  Alberrrto was just too expensive. Ashlyn thought about getting a crab, but decided she wanted an African frog.  Super Walmart s can't carry them because of salmonella or something.  So back to petsmart when they reopened the next day.  Fun enough.  That's when I saw the Julia fish.  As in she had an understated pizazz and the  mellow temperament of my friend and coworker Julia.  Also tropical blue!  I could return to my room and see this fish being mellow.  On Sale for $3.  I stared and compared as Ashlyn foun

Spiders! And Tevas

Two mornings in a row now I have woken up to find spider bites on my ankles.  Large and itchy and anger-inducing.   So today I attended to some other morning chores and roasted my blankets in the dryer.   Added my sheet for good measure.   Found my Spider traps and folded one into a tent.   It's under my bed against the wall now.  Wretched spiders.   On the plus side my blankets are super cozy.   Will try to sleep again. I bought some teva "Tiff" sandals yesterday.   Super comfy.   8s fit like a glove, and I was impressed with 8.5.  The thinner model had very pinchy lines (to direct water? ) on the ball of my foot.  ( They were sized one degree off as well. ) However, this morning as Luv took me home I noticed mine doing a similar dance.   Perhaps they were just stiffer originally.   A bummer, but I need them broken in, and that's just what they will do regardless.   so far walked like a dream the first day.  Not that I was in them for very long.  My only complaint

Awesome sauce!!!

I made it to Best Buy, the guy there was great.  Forgot my bike chain, so was in a "rush".  Galaxy s4 is comfy to hold, and I can use a pen and app to take kickin' class notes.  I should try with my laptop and eacom tablet again.  Maybe there is a freeware that lets me type and draw.  One note???  :o  I never thought of that, I might have it.   Anyway, I'm getting that S4.  (I made the  connection that it is Samsung, too.  i loved my Alias!!!)  The question lies in when, how, and from whom.  The insurance policies between Verizon and Best Buy have two major trade offs.  A $200 deductible is redonculous.  But not covering "lost or stolen" is a big problem for *me*.   Then I got to Home Depot for tomato fertilizer AKA tomato food.  Saw an adorable succulent, and cacti mix!!!  Perfect for the project Annalise has enticed me into.  Check it:   Score---!  :D  biking home with that fat package was interesting.  Oh, and this extra ball was about to break off of the

Yellow Leaves AKA (FOUND IT!)

It says "bye".  Leafs!!!  My tomatoes, and (worse!) Basil, have a yellow pallor.  Internet says its either nutrients or fungus.  Also calcium absorption seems to have very specific watering requirements= I'm using pots so confused how that applies.  "One inch every three days" = wtf???   Also the sprinklers have been hitting my pots--not great for water regimen since I have no idea what their schedule is... Maybe I will put out a bucket to see, also spritz means the fungus is not ruled out. At least I know the 8 things have been consistently moist.  They were in little tiny  seed planters, so shizy soil very possible.  And since they have not improved in my potting solution from the nursery, I mixed some fertilizer. Our rad tomatoes + 2 herbs The largest pot is my Black Krim--I have a lot of hope for its flavor.  As of 6/15 there are two robust little 'maters on the way! yellow basil I don't know how to GET to the page with my Draft without

Where is my Draft?

I totally started a post on my iphone a week ago.  Now I can't find it to publish it.  Lame.  May try the other blog space after all.  (I know that it saved).  anyway, I am in the market for a new phone, but how much of a market remains to be seen.  I learned how to sync my iphone contacts with my google contacts properly.  Huzzah!   https://support.google.com/mail/answer/2753077   It's there.  Last time I reset my phone there was a loss of probably 25%.  Hoping to do things.  I want to float the Oneida narrows, but, I guess, I would prefer with friends I know, not Spencer's group.  The main problem is that it is competing with the craft fair--and there was a certain Geometric art man that I want their business card, if they are still there.  (I have no monies to spend on art this month.)  PS4... you tease me.  The end.

Oh, I don't know

I have wanted to start a blog, somewhere to post my cool thoughts, because facebook is too much of a cluster-****.  But what cool thoughts?  I'm under the impression that blogs need some TLC, but really, how much when I'm not trying to play for advertising cash?  Hm?  So yeah, I think I'll try to post some art when I make it, sort of muse about stuff.  But I want to check the legal matters first.  Srsly, though, my address is a word I made up for my pet story.  Derived from "imbricate."   Verb Arrange (scales, sepals, plates, etc.) so that they overlap like roof tiles. Adjective (of scales, sepals, plates, etc.) Having adjacent edges overlapping Of course, when you really love something, you let it go, so it can grow.  Can't do everything myself if I really want a graphic novel.  Still, it's a blur of personal dreams and trying to inject my experience into a narrative frame that an independent story can grow around and over.  "Som
